Strengths:

  • Strength: She looks shapeless and even a little doughy, but she is UNGODLY strong, tossing around just about every one of her opponents, squeezing extra hard with submissions and wear downs, and knocking opponents into another time zone with her strikes.
  • Intimidation: Now that's she experienced some success and her confidence is on the rise, she's becoming quite the bully. Erica is mastering the art of intimidating an opponent.
  • Resiliency: Erica is tremendously resilient. Once or twice a match, she'll no sell a punch, chop, weak weapon strike, etc. just to put a scare into an opponent.
  • Deadly finisher: The Shrew's Fiddle is difficult to break and once you're in it, you're either going to tap out or pass out

Appearance: Erica is a pretty plain looking young woman in her mid-20s. She looks a little shapeless, but very athletic with broad shoulders and thick legs. Her hair is dyed black, contrasting with her fair almost pale complexion, with harsh Bettie Page bangs. She wears a black amateur-style female wrestling singlet with white trim, black with white trim Converse shoes with sweat socks, and her fists are heavily wrapped in white athletic tape halfway up the forearm.

Biography: Erica Toughill is a bitter and twisted sociopath. She's developed a whole Pandora's Box of neuroses and personality disorders since turning pro four years ago. It's led to a host of strange personality traits, such as the desire to be loved by those she hates. She despises weakness in all things, especially herself, but freely plays the victimization card. Physically or mentally, Erica Toughill is an insecure bully.

"Erica used to be such a nice girl," is a common statement about Toughill. Toughill (rhymes with "grow hill") was the only girl in her respective generation. With three older brother and one younger, she adopted her tomboy-ish attitude as a survival mechanism. She was briefly on the fast track to a professional tennis career, but it was cut short for throwing a racket at a judge after receiving a call she disagreed
with. Shortly after, she began watching pro wrestling on cable, and her favorite star, Jackson Hunter.

Dropping out of college after her third year and refusing to fall into the family bakery business, Erica began training to pursue her lifelong
passion and current career. She was quickly signed by the DCWL, who required her to lose twenty pounds before her debut on television. The
effects of the rapid weight loss caused her to lose her debut match. She returned to her natural body type, but the damage had been done: Erica Toughill went an unprecedented thirty months without recording a single
victory.

Suffering from depression and panic attacks, Erica was about to quit, but a chance encounter with the promotion's champion and top star, Jackson Hunter, led to her being taken on as his protege, and eventually his lover. Months of losses followed, but Erica at least now had star power and competitive matches. And after throwing a pipewrench at the head of one of the people who had handed her a particularly disrespectful defeat, Erica Toughill declared that she was finally standing up for herself.

From that point on, Erica's behavior became more and more erratic. Her association with Jackson Hunter, who was the most hated man in the DCWL by a long shot, was viewed with disdain by the rest of the locker room and even Jackson Hunter's closest allies. People Erica thought were friends turned their backs on her. Fans were harassing her more and more. Erica was unable to cope and she became more and more violent, feeling more like Jackson Hunter's henchwoman than lover.

After privately breaking up with the man who gave her the first break in her career, Erica then interrupted Hunter's retirement speech and publicly attacked and choked him out with the move that would be soon be called the Shrew's Fiddle, making sure Hunter's career-ending shoulder injury would remain career-ending. After finishing second in the all-female battle royale Angels & Amazons in 2008, and winning the event in 2009, her career has finally kicked in to gear. Erica now turns her destructive nature to Shootfire Pro, seeking to inflict on others the pain she feels the wrestling world has burdened her with.

Entrance:

[A few sythesized string chords open up Leonard Cohen's "Everybody Knows." The general lighting on the arena turns into a mixture of rich blues and reds. As the SPW-tron displays film noir-style images of violence, through the curtain steps the Queen of Clubs, Erica Toughill.]

"Everybody knows the dice are loaded
Everybody rolls with their fingers crossed
Everybody knows the war is over
Everybody knows the good guys lost
Everybody knows the fight was fixed
The poor stay poor, the rich get rich
That's how it goes
Everybody knows"

[Toughill is a grumpy young woman in her mid-20s with harsh black Bettie Page-style bangs. Over top of Erica's ring attire (black singlet with white trim and Converse shoes) is a plain worn black hoodie. She walks with purpose down the aisle, an icy sneer on her face. The fans reach over the railing to slap hands with The Queen of Clubs, but she continues heading for the ring, never taking her eyes of the squared circle for a second.]

"Everybody knows the boat is leaking
Everybody knows the captain lied
Everybody got this broken feeling
Like their father or their dog just died
Everybody talking to their pockets
Everybody wants a box of chocolates
And a long stem rose
Everybody knows"

[Toughill climbs up the ring apron and steps through the ropes abruptly. Quickly she backs into the nearest corner, crouching down like an animal about to strike. In one quick motion she discards the hoodie, tossing it behind her.  The arena pops and Erica kneels down low, staring ahead as she works herself up for her match. The lights begin to rise but Erica continues to stare, showing no emotion on her face.]

"Everybody knows you love me baby
Everybody knows you really do
Everybody knows that you've been faithful
Give or take a night or two
Everybody knows you've been discreet
But there were so many people you just had to meet
Without your clothes
And everybody knows

Everybody knows
Everybody knows
That's how it goes
Everybody knows"

  • Jilldozer: Erica backs off to the corner and stalks a downed opponent.

  •  Spiral Shock: Cobra Clutch Legsweep, aka Million Dollar Buster. Erica locks in a standing Cobra Clutch, hooks the near leg with hers, and jerks the victim back.

Finishing Maneuvers:

  • Shrew's Fiddle: Rolling Olympic Hell: Erica locks her hands under one arm and over the other shoulder of an opponent, taking them down. She sits the up slightly, trapping the victim's head and arm. Technically a chokehold.
  • Peacemaker Lariat: A discus lariat. Erica pivots 360 degrees on one foot and drops onto the opponent with a clothesline. Usually follows a strike flurry, but the beauty of it is that it can come out of nowhere as well.
  • Throwing German Suplex into Ringpost: On the outside of the ring, Erica waistlocks the opponent and throws them backward, head-first into the ring post. PING~! (Last Resort Finisher)
