Biography: Johnny Pembroke broke into wrestling at the age of 15. He ran away from home going to Tampa Bay and began training. He studied there until he was 20 and when he couldn't learn anymore except by working in the ring he traveled back home to North Carolina then joined up with a small indy promotion dubbed SGWF. There he became a Main Eventer winning the Cruiserweight Championship and United States Championship. Eventually he moved onto to another indy promotion called RWF and won the Television championship from Buddy Drifter then lost it two weeks later. RWF was renamed RWE under a new owner and it went under. Pembroke moved to a bigger promotion called HPWF but every match he had resulted in someone cheating to win and he wasn't getting over any so he spoke with Buddy Drifter and joined the IGA, in 2004. Pembroke was born in High Point, North Carolina on 08/26/81. His childhood was normal and from the time he was born he was a wrestling fan as his parents would watch wrestling every time it came on TV or PPV. Johnny decided he wanted to become a Pro Wrestler at the age of 5 and always stuck with it. He got in trouble at school many times for using wrestling moves on people but it was just a boy with a dream then. As a teenager Pembroke began to realize he had a real feel for wrestling and ran away from home when he was 15 to join his favorite wrestler's training school. Pembroke had family down in Florida so he skipped town and headed to visit family but only stayed there basically at night as all his time was spent training. Pembroke quickly became a star pupil as he was defined as a well rounded worker able to go brawler, technical, and aerial style with ease. It wasn't long before he was placed into the advanced classes and shot to the top of that as well with his unmatched technical wrestling skills. Pembroke worked many odd jobs during this time to pay for his training and would do almost anything to get money. At the age of 20 Pembroke could learn nothing more from the school and it was closing down anyway, but he had to keep on wrestling so he packed his bags and headed home to NC and quickly was sending out tapes of his 'school matches' and was quickly picked up by a small indy federation located in Georgia. Pembroke soared to the top becoming the companies first Cruiserweight Champion. After loosing the title in a hardcore style match he set his sights on the companies United States title and claimed it for his own. At 21 the company was shut down due to wrestlers quitting for bigger promotions, but Pembroke stayed true and continued getting his wrestling education from the Indy feds by joining RWE. RWE brought Pembroke a Television Championship that he won from Buddy Drifter in under 30 seconds. A highlight of Johnny's career he still holds in his heart to this day. That company went under as well after new management came in and Pembroke found himself an offer from a Sports Entertainment promotion called WWA where he had an open contract. He joined another promotion at the same time as well called HPWF, but every match in HPWF had him taking chair shots and losing matches because of inept referee's and management favoritism. Pembroke had a small in WWA before he quit on friendly terms and went his own way for awhile until receiving a call from friend Buddy Drifter. He mentioned a promotion called IGA and Pembroke went and interviewed and was signed and the rest is n the annals of IGA history. After the IGA shut down, Pain wasn't sure of what to do with himself anymore, so he went back to his roots and continued to improve his wrestling ability as best as he could by touring in Japan for the past two years. In-between his touring time, Pain has been training wrestlers at the "House of Pain" training school in Winston-Salem, NC. Johnny's time in Japan has made him a reknowned and respected wrestler, and something of a celebrity in the japanese territories.
